Overstand

About

Not to understand.
To overstand.

To overstand means to grasp something not just intellectually, but culturally, emotionally and contextually.

Etymology

Where understand implies grasping from below, overstand implies vantage - perspective, elevation, depth. Rooted in Rastafarian and Jamaican culture, chosen deliberately to signal a different way of seeing.

/ˈəʊ.və.stænd/

Jamaican Patois

The setup

One point of contact.
The right team
for every problem.

OVERSTAND does not operate like a traditional agency. You work with one contact who knows the full context, challenges the thinking and stays accountable throughout. Around that, we build the team the work actually needs: specialists, creatives, producers and agencies. An entourage that shares the same spirit.

Accountability

One contact stays close from beginning to end, with a clear view of the whole.

Orchestration

We find, brief and lead the right specialists and agencies, and bring existing partners into one coherent way of working.

Flexibility

The shape of the team follows the shape of the problem. No unnecessary layers.

Continuity

Strategy and delivery stay connected. Nothing is lost between phases or handovers.

Execution

Perspective is where it starts, not where it stops. We turn decisions into roadmaps, teams and tangible outcomes.

Daniel Donaldson

Founder

Daniel works where sport, entertainment, media and brands meet. Formerly at the Bundesliga, early team member and CMO/COO at Baller League, today he creates new formats, ecosystems and partnerships that go beyond a posting schedule or a logo on a shirt. He works with athletes, creators, brands and rights holders, connecting every touchpoint from live events to media and content. Campaigns are part of the job, but what he loves are the complex projects that outlast them: deeply community driven and built to grow over years. Backed by a broad global network and professionals across all fields, he supports clients with Overstand from the first question to delivery.

Manifesto

We don't look away when it gets difficult.

We ask the uncomfortable questions.

We roll up our sleeves.

We craft.

We deliver.

We don't consult.

We overstand.
