Hosting and server log files
This site is hosted by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, on GitHub Pages. When you open a page, GitHub's servers automatically record technical data sent by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and to keep it secure and stable. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating the site reliably. GitHub acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
No cookies, no analytics, no third-party content
This site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no social media plugins. All fonts are served from our own server, so no data is sent to font providers such as Google Fonts. No external resources are loaded, which means no third party receives your IP address through this site.
Storage on your device
The site stores two small technical values in your browser's session storage: one records that the opening animation has already been shown, the other carries a page transition. They contain no personal data, are never transmitted to us or anyone else, and your browser deletes them when you close the tab.
Contacting us by email
If you write to info@over-stand.com, we process the data you send in order to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or its preparation, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Recipients and transfers
Personal data is passed only to our hosting provider, GitHub, Inc., acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. This involves a transfer to the United States. GitHub's parent company, Microsoft Corporation, is certified under the EU-US Data Protection Framework, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR, and the data processing agreement additionally incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Server log files are deleted by the hosting provider after a short period. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with the matter, and longer only where statutory retention periods require it.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), the right to data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). To exercise any of these, write to info@over-stand.com.
Right to complain
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Wiesbaden.
